Inside, the Horizon 3 is built for genuine rest. A 3-inch self-inflating mattress with dual fill ports provides hotel-quality sleep above the ground, while 23ZERO's ECO13B fabric with Light Suppression Technology keeps the interior pitch dark and up to 15% cooler — so you sleep past sunrise even in direct midday sun. Care & Use

To maximize the life of your 23Zero gear and ensure your lifetime warranty remains valid, please follow these essential maintenance guidelines.

Storage and Moisture Control
• Never store your tent wet. If you must pack up while the tent is damp, you must open it and let it air dry completely as soon as possible.
• Avoid Mildew: Storing a damp tent is the fastest way to cause mildew and moisture damage, which is not covered under warranty.
• Condensation: To prevent internal humidity, always promote airflow by opening vents and windows. Store wet items like towels or boots outside the tent.

Cleaning Instructions
• General Cleaning: Use only cold water and a soft brush to clean the fabric. Do not use soaps or detergents as they can damage the waterproof coatings.
• Interior: Regularly sweep or vacuum out dust and dirt from the inside of the tent.
• Stains: For stubborn stains, use only mild, non-detergent cleaners specifically designed for technical fabrics.

Hardware & Zipper Care
• Mounting Hardware: Regularly check that all nuts and bolts attaching the tent to your vehicle are tight and in good repair.
• Zipper Maintenance: Keep zippers free of sand and grit. Use a soft brush to remove debris and apply a specialized zipper lubricant periodically to ensure smooth operation.
• Transit Covers: For soft-shell models, wipe the cover with a damp cloth and apply a silicone-free UV protectant to prevent sun damage.

Safe Operation
• Ladder Safety: Always ensure the ladder is locked at the correct angle (approx. 70° to 75°) before entering the tent. Never climb inside if the ladder is not secured.
• No Heat Sources: Keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent. Never use fuel-burning devices or naked flames inside or near the tent fabric.
• Bedding: While you can store thin blankets inside, do not over-pack bedding. Excessive pressure when closing can damage hinges and zippers, which is not covered by warranty.

Installation

Verify your vehicle’s maximum roof load capacity as specified by the manufacturer. Confirm the load limit of your roof rack or bed rack, especially for off-road use. Allowable roof load varies by vehicle, rack system, and aftermarket components.
